Frequently asked questions

How do I log a visit?

Open a site, tap Log Visit, and add as much or as little as you like — a date, photos, a note, and a star rating are all optional. You can edit or remove a visit later from the same screen.

Do I need an account?

No. The app works with no sign-up. Your visits and favorites are saved on your device automatically.

Does my data sync between my devices?

Yes — if you're signed in to iCloud, your visits and favorites sync privately across your own Apple devices through iCloud. We never see this data.

Is my data private?

Yes. We don't run analytics or ads and we don't track you. Your personal visit data never leaves your device and your iCloud account. See the Privacy Policy.

Why does a site appear under two presidents?

Some places are tied to more than one president — for example, Peacefield is associated with both John Adams and John Quincy Adams. The site is a single entry that shows up under each of its presidents.

Why do I see Grover Cleveland (or Donald Trump) twice?

They each served two non-consecutive terms, so they're counted as two presidencies (e.g. #22 and #24). That's why there are 47 president entries. Sites shared across both terms are a single merged entry.

A site's photo or info looks out of date. How do I refresh?

Go to the Stats tab and tap Refresh from Server to pull the latest catalog. Your visits and favorites are kept.

How do I delete my data?

Delete an individual visit from its site screen. Deleting the app removes the data on that device, and you can manage iCloud-synced data from your device's iCloud settings.

Can my family share a checklist?

Family sharing is on the roadmap. When it ships, you'll be able to share one merged checklist with your family — a site will count as visited once anyone in the family has logged it.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad.
